I have been slammed with emails about what I think is going on and why Google has not updated the toolbar as of yet. Who’s to say Google isn’t getting ready to 86 the whole toolbar idea? What good is their from it? People buy and sell links based on PR and we know Google wants that to stop.
Here is your chance to predict what Google may or may not do. Everyone has their own thoughts and ideas. What do you think?

Well, I think they might scrap pagerank, but if they do, they won’t have the same means to measure how long you are on a particular website, or how often it’s getting visited outside of search results… Things that I think they depend on for SEO rankings. But if they do get rid of it, they won’t just want to replace it with something else that basically does the same thing. I think it’ll be interesting to see what happens.

I believe PageRank will stay as other search engines like Live is now following the same concept to its new webmaster tool. If G removes PR then someone will provide the same toolbar. I’m pretty sure Google is figuring out ways to improve PageRank structure.
